Simply put....CONNECTIONS is exciting! It exists to touch every person who visits or is a part of our church in such a manner that they will have the greatest opportunity to know Christ and become a meaningful part of our Christian walk together.
Two special teams of individuals make CONNECTIONS real to us:
Connection Partners
Have you ever visited a church and felt as though you just landed on Mars? No one seems to notice you? No one extends a hand of fellowship? It can happen. It's never intentional. It just sometimes happens. At Burnt Hickory we attempt to be very sensitive to our visitors. Hence the Connections Ministry. This team is designed to help visitors connect with our church family. If you are visiting with us, we want your experience to be encouraging and uplifting. Chances are, one of our CONNECTIONS PARTNERS will meet you, engage you in a meaningful dialog and help you become more aware of what's happening at Burnt Hickory. Care Partners
Once you decide to become a part of our family here, this team will walk with you through your first year. You might say that they will be your "housewarming" party! Care partners follow up with encouraging phone calls, personal visits, and the occasional get-together to encourage and assist new family members as they continue to build meaningful relationships. In addition, the Connections ministry will assemble a support team who will work with ministry leaders to promote opportunities for service and connection as we all strive to serve God and our community.
