Growth Group Sign-ups If you haven't signed up for a Growth Group, there are still some openings. From the Home page go to the Growth Groups and Adult Bible Class link and sign up for the group you would like to participate in. Some groups are now full and are closed.
Family Mechanics In Children’s Worship this month they will learn how to keep their family running smoothly. The lessons will include Family Feud, dealing with sibling rivalry, When the Family Breaks Down, surviving divorce, Meet The Parents, honor your father & mother and Where’s Dad?, missing an earthly dad, but having an awesome Heavenly Father.
Cookout and Chili Cook-off The cookout for family and friends, hosted by the Men’s Ministry, is this Saturday, September 11, between 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the church building. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and drinks will be served. There will be fun and games for all ages and a moonwalk and dunk tank too! The cost is $5 each with a $25 max per family. There will also be a Chili Cook-off (Burnt Hickory members only). If you think you have the winning recipe, and are willing to enter a head to head competition - bring it! Angel Food Ministries Orders are due Sunday, September 12. Distribution day is Saturday, September 18, from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. in the Teen Center. Men’s Retreat Don’t forget to register online at www.burnthickory.org for the 2010 Men’s Retreat to be held on October 22 - 24, at Zidon Avisha Retreat Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Ladies Book of the Month Club The next Ladies Book of the Month Club meeting will be Thursday, October 7, at 7:00 p.m. in the office workroom. They will be discussing the book Ransomed Dreams by Amy N. Wallace. This group is open to all ladies.
Welcome to Burnt Hickory Luncheon Guests and those considering membership at Burnt Hickory are invited to join the church leadership (shepherds and ministers and their families) for a family friendly lunch. The luncheon will be immediately following Bible Class in the Worship Center Sunday, September 12.
